You’ve done the work.
But your body may not yet feel the truth of what you’ve named.
You may understand what happened.
You may recognize the patterns.
You may know what is true now.
And still, your body may respond as though something else is true.
That gap between what you know and what you feel can be where the next part of the work begins.
Body of Eden brings the body into that conversation.
The Body of Eden Approach.
We begin with safety and listening.
Body of Eden is an integrative approach to bodywork for people who want to bring the body more fully into healing work they may already be doing.
There is no prescribed path through a session. We listen to what is happening in the body and allow that to help guide the work. A session may include massage and therapeutic touch, muscular holding patterns, breath, sensation, imagery, movement, memory, energetic work, stillness or ritual.
For some, this work includes The One Who Knew Method, an exploration of the younger self. It does not assume that childhood was safe, or that a memory of safety is readily available. Instead, we become curious about what that younger self experienced, noticed, resisted, trusted, imagined and knew.
This is one pathway within Body of Eden. The work is not about directing the body toward a particular story. It is about creating enough safety to listen to the story that is already there.
